Top Ten Finish At Toledo Bend

The Lord blessed my time on the water this week at Toledo Bend and prepared me for my first top ten finish in FLW competition. I caught most all my fish in one area, close to the river channel, that fish were continually moving into to spawn during the event. Although my first day efforts were hindered by other local anglers fishing the area on Day 1, I was able to overcome on Day 2 by bringing in the second heaviest weight of 21 lbs 6 oz and made the top 10 cut. On the final day the fishing slowed again due to fishing pressure from  the weekend crowd but was still able to manage a solid limit and hold my 7th place position to finish. My best baits were a Smithwick Rogue and Talon Shibui Spinnerbait worked over the shallow grass near bedding bass. I would like to thank God, my family & friends, and all my great sponsors for their continued support in making this possible.
Tight Lines and God Bless,
